Millions of homes to leave tax relief threshold over next decade
As many as 4m homes across England could leave the stamp duty relief threshold over the next 10 years due to house price inflation, according to mortgage adviser L&C Mortgages, which has warned that over half of the 52,002 properties currently qualifying for stamp duty relief for first-timers in London will be priced out in the next decade - falling from 57% to 28% by 2028.
