Should we stay in the EU?

We often hear EU propoents say that we need to remain in the EU because of the amount of trade that we do with our EU partners. In the 9 months 30 September 2014, recent Government statistics show that the UK exported £111b to the EU. This compares to £118b of exports to non EU countries in the same period.

However, what we don"t often hear about is the other side of the coin, imports. In the 9 months to 30 September 2014, the UK imported £164b of goods and services from the EU. 

So the EU needs us far more than we need them!
