Petrol volumes down 25%

The AA have just reported that the voume of petrol sold in the UK has dropped by 25% in the past 5 years, mainly as a result of the soaring costs, driven by the ever increasing fuel taxes, reports Harris & Co accountants Northampton. Someone in the Government has clearly never heard of the price elasticity of demand but one would have hoped that there were one or two economists in the Treasury!
