Start-up survival rates are now at their highest since Barclays first launched its Entrepreneurs Index in 2012 report Harris & Co chartered accountants, the specialist small business accountants. The number of active companies in the UK also increased to 3,260,879 in June 2015, a 3.86% climb on December 2014. “These results are particularly encouraging as the business landscape in the UK is changing, with a relatively small number of SMEs delivering a significant impact on economic growth, employment and wealth creation,” said Dena Brumpton, head of wealth management UK at Barclays.
