 Cameron hints at 40p tax rate change

David Cameron has repeated his claim that too many people on middle incomes are being hit by the 40p tax rate, hinting that George Osborne may take action on the issue in next Wednesday’s Budget. Last year the PM announced that a future Conservative government would raise the threshold for paying 40p tax from £41,865 to £50,000 by 2020, a proposal opposed by the Lib Dems say Harris & Co chartered accountants Northampton
