SME's under pressure to sell

 Owners feel forced to sell mid-size firms

New research by law firm Mills & Reeve has suggested that a third of medium-sized business owners feel mounting pressure to sell up. The study found that a third of those poised to sell did not want to do so but felt they were being "forced" into the decision. Additionally, 44% of the business owners said that it had never been harder to grow a business and a similar proportion said that scaling up involved far more risk than selling. The report said that tax legislation encouraged an owner to look for a sale because of entrepreneurs" relief report Harris & Co chartered accountants Northampton, the specialist small business accountants.
