56% of UK SMEs expect to recruit more staff over the next year with 60% of SMEs intending to invest in their businesses, with only 20% intending to borrow, according to a recent survey.The survey found that 68% of SMEs feel positive about the economic outlook over the next 12 months and over half, 56%, expect their profits to increase.87% of businesses stated that they expect to be trading in a year’s time with only 6% saying that they are unlikely to be trading.The research revealed that 71% of SMEs felt ‘well supported’ by the government overall. The survey found that nearly 75% of businesses intend to bring back all staff from furlough.
