Putting SME loan deals on price-comparison websites could backfire
Professor Russel Griggs, who runs the appeals process for small firms that say their loan applications have been wrongly rejected, has said plans by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to require banks to put SME loan deals on price-comparison websites could backfire. He says the loans are more complex that savings accounts and the CMA overestimates the financial and business knowledge SMEs have.
