HMRC have announced that there has been a delay in the final issue of Employer Payment booklets for the year 2013-14, reports Chartered Accountants Northampton Harris & Co.

At the end of March 2013 HMRC told employers when to expect their payslip booklets for 2013-14. The last booklets were to be issued on 12 April 2013, and employers were advised to wait until 27 April before contacting HMRC if they had not received a new booklet.

HMRC have now apologised to employers but the last booklets were sent on Tuesday 30 April 2013 and may take up to three weeks to reach employers.

HMRC have asked employers not to call the department to ask for a replacement booklet.

More details are available from HMRC.
