HMRC tax summaries now available online for 2014/15 SA returns

More than 8m taxpayers who filed their 2013 to 2014 tax return electronically by the 31 January deadline can now access their online tax summary, says Harris & Co accountants Northampton

The summaries set out how much tax and national insurance each person has paid in the tax year, and how it contributed to public expenditure.

The online summaries can be viewed by logging onto HMRC online services and selecting the ‘View your 2013 to 2014 tax summary’ option.

Millions of taxpayers who are in the PAYE system and do not file tax returns have already received paper summaries in the post. Other affected taxpayers will receive a paper version once their 2013 to 2014 tax affairs have been finalised.

Online filers who missed the deadline will have access to an online summary when they have submitted overdue returns online.
