Latest growth figures

Sometime I really do wonder about the ONS. If I issued a set of accounts showing turnover had grown by 4%, you wouldn"t think me a very good accountant if I had to keep revising the figures because I really wasn"t sure how much turnover had grown by!

If the ONS can"t get the figures right the first time, then really the numbers are not reliable and there"s little point producing them, never mind making important taxation and spending decisions based on them. #accountantsnorthampton
