One month to go until the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI) and HMRC says it is escalating the publicity campaign to reach as many employers as possible, reports Harris & Co chartered accountant Northampton.

With a limited budget to promote the radical overhaul of the PAYE system, the taxman is resorting to Twitter to scoop up as many employers as possible who are still unaware of the impending changes.

HMRC is running a week-long Twitter Q&A offering interactive support on RTI from 11 to 15 March. HMRC experts will be on hand to offer help and support - to take part or ask a question, follow @HMRCgovuk on Twitter and use hashtag #RTIqa.

From April, employers will be required to implement RTI, which means they will have report each time they pay their employees, rather than annually.

Further details are available from HMRC.
