 Profits up at mid-sized firms

Analysis of 25,000 British mid-sized private businesses by Investec and Duedil reveals profits rose by an average of 18% in the year to August 2014, largely as a result of low energy and food costs and the strong pound. Their Mid-Market Index is the first comprehensive sweep of the sector. A separate report from the Business Growth Fund found that 82% believe that conditions have improved over the past quarter report Harris & Co chartered accountants Northampton, the specialist small and medium sized business accountants.
