 Jobs under threat from AI

A report from TalkTalk Business has found that lawyers, accountants, shop workers and call centre staff will increasingly lose their jobs to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Graeme Codrington, futurist to TalkTalk Business, predicted that white-collar jobs, such as accounting, lawyers reviewing contacts and compliance will be affected the most by the increased use of AI and machine learning, as they are highly structured and all variables are known, making them perfect for automation. He commented: “Functions or tasks will be replaced. There will be things that computers can do better and things that humans do better.”
