 Half of SMEs suffer late payers

Research suggests more than half of all SMEs are waiting more than 30 days for payments from suppliers. The latest SME Confidence Tracker report from Bibby Financial Services has found that 51% of firms now wait more than 30 days, following a rise of nine percentage points in the second quarter of 2015 against the same period last year. It comes after Small Business Minister Anna Soubry revealed last month that a new Small Business Commissioner will be created to name and shame late payers and that, from early next year, small firms will be given the right to raise funds by borrowing against unpaid invoices report Harris & Co chartered accountants Northampton, the specialist small business accountants.
