SME's confused by auto enrolment

 FSB tells Work and Pensions Committee of SME woes

Speaking to the Work and Pensions Committee, Mike Cherry, policy director at the FSB, pointed to research by his organisation stressing many SMEs were still confused about what they needed to do under the pensions auto-enrolment rules. Mr Cherry also highlighted difficulties some small businesses might have if their staging dates clashed with the implementation date for National Living Wage, which will come into force this April. Ian Cass, managing director of the Forum of Private Business, argued that small business owners" do-it-yourself attitudes could lead to people spending excessive amounts of time trying to keep up with legislation.
