 Creative SMEs drive growth

Research by the Centre for Cities think-tank indicates SMEs in the creative, professional and digital sectors are the main drivers of jobs, productivity and wage growth in cities report Harris & Co chartered accountants Northampton, the specialist small business accountants. Its Small Business Outlook 2015 found the top 10 UK cities with the highest concentrations of ‘new work’ SMEs are also among the most successful places in terms of productivity, jobs growth and pay. Seven of the top 10 cities for new work SMEs are also in the top 10 places in terms of productivity and average earnings, while five of these cities are also in the top 10 for highest jobs growth.
