Motorsport accountants Mini restoration

The Mini underwent extensive restoration - this is the Mini pre-restoration.

And a test drive in the pre-restoration Mini.

Hot off the press, 26 November 2013:

Northamptonshire based specialist motorsport accountants Harris & Co are set to join the British Historic Rally Championship with principal Phil Harris behind the wheel.
Phil explained, “I first started my involvement in rallying in the 1960’s when I was a small boy. My late father was a semi works driver with BMC and rallied Mini Coopers through the 1960s and early 1970’s. We built our own rally Mini in 1976 which I competed in until 1980. Then, it was time to concentrate on building my business, but I never lost my desire to compete.”
The Mini has been kept in storage and celebrated its 50 birthday in July this year. Since then the car has undergone a total rebuild in line with the current historic rallying specifications by Rob Smith Rallying based in Towcester.
Said Phil, “I will be c-driven next season by my two nieces, Helen and Jenny Bradshaw. They are only 21 and 20 and have no motorsport experience other than a track day at Silverstone. They will be on a steep learning curve but at least we will be keeping the family tradition of rallying alive!”
Historic motorsport has seen a massive increase in interest and Harris & Co have a number of clients who are now actively involved in this area. As specialist motorsport accountants, the opportunity to be actively involved was too good to miss and 2014 can’t come soon enough for the Harris family.
