Half a million Scots paying higher taxes

The NAO says just over half a million Scots are paying higher taxes than their counterparts in the rest of the UK due to changes passed by the SNP. The Scottish Government’s decision to hold the 40% income tax threshold at £43,000 means the average Scottish taxpayer affected by the change is paying £213 a year more than they would if they lived south of the border.
