Taxman targets horse box fraud

Farmers who wrongly claim horseboxes as a company expense risk being caught, because HMRC has stepped up its targeting of rural fraud. HMRC is using classified ads to check on country folk buying horseboxes through their firm to see if the cost is a genuine business expense, or if buyers were failing to declare personal use of the item say Harris & Co accountants Northampton
